The app combines several factors: the real-time driving time from your current location to your destination (using Apple Maps), current and forecasted weather conditions, your personal "get ready" buffer time, and a safety margin. For Premium users, the AI also factors in your historical commute patterns, like whether you tend to leave late on certain days.

The app needs background location access to continuously monitor traffic conditions and recalculate your wake time while you sleep. If conditions change at 3 AM (like a highway closure), the app needs to adjust your alarm accordingly. Without "Always" access, the app can only check traffic when you have it open, which defeats the purpose.

Yes. The alarm uses a special audio configuration that plays through the speaker even when your phone's silent switch is on. It also works when the app is in the background. For best results, make sure you haven't force-quit the app before going to sleep.

The free version provides basic alarm functionality with traffic-based wake times. Premium adds the AI engine, which learns your personal commute patterns, adjusts for weather, provides plain-English explanations for every alarm change, and proactively compensates for your habits (like consistently leaving late).

You can manage or cancel your subscription in two ways:

1. In the app: Tap the gear icon > "Manage Subscription"
2. On your iPhone: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Never Be Late A.I.

Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

That's the AI at work! Traffic conditions and weather forecasts change constantly. The app recalculates your optimal wake time every few minutes to make sure you always have the most accurate alarm. Check the AI explanation on your alarm card to see exactly why it changed.

The app is optimized for battery efficiency. It uses significant location changes (not continuous GPS) for background monitoring and only checks traffic at intervals. Overnight battery impact is typically minimal (2-5%), similar to other navigation or weather apps.

If you're using TestFlight, subscriptions may use your sandbox Apple ID. In the production App Store release, subscriptions are processed through your real Apple ID. If you believe there's a billing error, please contact Apple Support or email us.

Email support@neverbelateai.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and we will delete all data associated with your account within 30 days. You can also simply delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
